Job Title: In-Home & Community Supports (IHCS) Worker

We are seeking compassionate and reliable IHCS Workers to support individuals in their homes and communities. The IHCS Worker plays a vital role in assisting with daily living skills, promoting independence, and encouraging meaningful participation in community activities.

• Provide assistance with daily living tasks such as meal prep, shopping, and light household support.
   
• Support individuals in community engagement, social skills, and recreational activities.
   
• Implement person-centered support plans tailored to participant goals.
   
• Maintain accurate, timely service notes and documentation.
   
• Ensure safety and dignity of all individuals served.
   

• High School Diploma or GED required.
   
• Must complete mandatory certifications within 30 days of hire (CPR/First Aid, Fire Safety, Direct Support Professional [DSP] training, etc.).
   
• Clear PA Criminal Background Check, Child Abuse Clearance, and FBI Clearance required.
   
• Experience working with individuals with IDD/Autism preferred but not required.
   
• Compassionate, patient, and committed to empowering individuals.
   

• 40 hours of training within the first year of employment, including person-centered planning, service documentation, communication skills, and understanding disabilities.
   
• 20 hours of ongoing training annually thereafter.

• Actively recruit candidates through community outreach, events, job fairs, and social media.
   
• Build relationships with local organizations, schools, and workforce programs.
   
• Assist applicants in navigating the hiring process and ensuring required documents are completed.
   
• Represent Lux Home Care Agency professionally in the community.
   
• Track recruitment efforts and report outcomes to agency leadership.
   

• High School Diploma or GED required; some college preferred.
   
• Strong interpersonal, communication, and networking skills.
   
• Comfortable engaging with diverse groups and speaking in public.
   
• Organized and self-motivated with ability to meet recruitment goals.
   
• Prior recruiting, community outreach, or sales experience preferred but not required.
   

• Initial orientation and onboarding training.
   
• Ongoing professional development on recruitment strategies, compliance, and community engagement.
